hello world.
what started off as just a crazy idea for Halloween, ended up being a reflection of the theatrical ideas that gather in my mind.
my focus was not on Halloween but taking the theme of The Zoo and curating a photoshoot around it.
i scouted for a photographer and hair stylist.
i attempted to rent lights
outsourcing seemed to be letting me down.
so i just did it all on my own.
on a VERY tight budget
the make up, hair, accessorizing, photography, lighting and post production.
directed and crafted by me.
in a world that lacks originality and character i work diligently to showcase my abilities as an artist
I used a combination of Ben Nye, Make Up Forever and MAC products to achieve the looks.
Everything was freehand (no stencils) with gossamer products.
I made these hair accents and only spent $4 for 3 looks. enough said.
I lucked up on great pieces. Pagan style body suit $20. All other accessories I crafted from old material.
there is this scary corridor on my roof that so happened to have an outlet for lighting
i loved the very brutish quality it possessed
now onto the fun (hard) part.
I do not consider myself a photographer at all. I am a visionary.
I tried to rent lights but things fell through so I switched to resource mode and went to home depot
I spent $16 on a 10.5″ clamp light and a philips halogen then bought a white vinyl lined tarp for an umbrella
the results were impressive. seeing as though it was the only source of lighting.
I shot all the photos except for the one of myself.
this mini shoot rocked my mind and body
but i wanted to present a full feature
as a representation of my imagination
and to hopefully inspire someone else

exceeded, enticed and trounced
i rewrote my book of expectations
now that i am on chapter 13 of the anatomy of delight
i’m smitten
its like a gift that keeps on giving.
and I stay porous
teach me
a lesson in behavior
how to control my sensations
impetus interest
and I will equally offer knowledge, ecstasy and respect.
